Alarm.com, a company based in Vienna, VA. has just announced that it will allow other companies to input their technology into the company’s system. Alarm.com is already a leading provider of technology, and now, with the new development, companies will be able to use the system in a manner that is similar to the way developers create apps for use on tablets and smartphone devices.

Alarm.com recently announced the first partnerships that will take advantage of the new technology at the International Security Conference in Las Vegas. These partnerships include LiftMaster, which manufactures automatic garage door openersand Lutron, which provides customers with lights and window shades. Customers who use LiftMaster and Lutron products will be able to control their specific devices through the use of the Alarm.com website, and a mobile app developed by Alarm.com.

Analysts say the more applications that can be added to the Alarm.com platform, the more value it will have, which is similar to the idea behind the Apple app store.

Kenny, when asked, didn’t rule out the possibility of creating home automation systems that operate in a similar manner to smartphones, which would mean the homeowner could simply choose from a selection of downloadable apps. Kenny said that while the company is not eliminating the possibility, their primary focus is, and will remain on providing customers with a top level of security and a great overall experience.

In addition to the new developments in the field of home automation, Alarm.com is also working to expand the use of home automation systems in conjunction with GPS systems. These new development would allow a home to be aware of where the homeowner was located through the use of a smartphone or tablet. Last year, Alarm.com made a splash in the and home automation industry when it introduced a service that would notify a homeowner if he or she left without activating their home security system. Additionally, Alarm.com has created a system that connects GPS with video surveillance technology so that don’t record the movements of the homeowner.

A number of s have been developing new technologies and expanded offerings, and in particular those that utilize mobile devices. Home automation providers are not only integrating the use of GPS into their systems, but also other technology, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
